Willo Education are working with a large nursery in the B34 area who are looking for a strong, experienced, and committed nursery manager to join their team on a permanent basis.
The nursery is looking for someone who not only has experience as a nursery manager but someone who is ready to take on their next challenge and bring a new vision to the nursery. Having a positive can-do attitude is vital within a nursery setting and being able to encourage creativity with not only the children but also the team. The position will be full time and you must be available 5 days a week.
The nursery is situated in a beautiful large, listed building with free onsite parking and stunning grounds. The nursery have a warm and welcoming team who are excited to welcome a new manager with an open mind and heart.
To Be considered for this role you must have:
- Right to work in the UK
- DBS on the update service (we can apply for a new one if required)
- Have nursery management experience.
- Have a minimum level 3 in childcare or above.
- Be able to provide x2 sufficient references.
Your duties will include:
- Overall day to day management responsibility for the preschool nursery.
- To be responsible for the efficient running of the nursery and overall delivery of a high standards.
- To ensure that the nursery provides a safe, caring, stimulating educational environment, both indoors and outdoors, at all times.
- To ensure that the preschool nursery plans an appropriate play based Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum that enables children to make individual progress.
- To ensure the nursery meets Ofsted requirements at all times.
- To manage, supervise and support the nursery staff.
- To undertake and assign designated officer roles.
- To work with other professionals in the local area for the benefit of children and families
- To ensure all staff understand and work to preschool nursery policies and procedures, including how to deal with child protection issues appropriately and how to respond to incidents, accidents, complaints, and emergencies.
- Take responsibility for planning, which ensures each child is working towards the early learning goals.
- To organise and participate in the key person system.
- To conduct staff appraisals and supervisions as appropriate and to identify staff training needs.
